MAGAZINE

Treekiller Magazine is a limiting of words. A limiting, not in the 140-character sense, but rather as a sneering retort to self-justifying belief of digital publication. Digital publication only requires an opinion, the logical extension of Descartes; “I think, therefore I am" becomes, "I opine, therefore I matter."  Print requires thought and belief to be concise. Concise, however, does not mean short, nor does it mean easy.

Treekiller takes words seriously. We believe words should first be interpreted by their meaning and etymological derivation and secondly, by authorial intent. The individual does not get to create their own meaning.

Belief should be stated. Thinking and believing are prerequisites of writing, putting pen to paper
Truth is found by placing competing statements against one another, assertations of knowledge, without the safety net of personal opinion.

T
he format of publication is simple and easily reproducible on any photocopy machine. Copying and re-distribution is encouraged. Although it's founder is a Luddite and Treekiller Press was intended to be off-line and non-digital,
